I was aware of my sleep pattern / deprivation - the fact that I'm a night person, and yet must often rise early. However, to avoid the psychological impact, I wouldn't look at the clock before I went to sleep. These past two weeks have helped support a change I recently made in my work hours. Fortunately, I have the option of starting three of my workdays a half hour later. I've been trying to conform - to become an early to bed early to rise person, yet realized I was dismissing my unique biological nature. I always slept well, and continue to do so. I find it very relaxing and comforting to sleep with my husband and our cat. However, there are certain times I need the late night / early morning hours to create.
I've been trying to get more sleep most of my life. This study intrigues me, although it hasn't yet had an effect on my sleep patterns.
