WNYC is a media partner for Habitat for Humanity New York City’s 30th Annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. 1,000 volunteers will renovate homes in Queens and repair storm-damaged homes in Staten Island. October 6 to October 12.
The Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project is improving homes and communities in California, Colorado, New York and New Jersey. The volunteers are building new, energy-efficient houses, making critical repairs, rehabilitating homes, or performing weatherization and home preservation projects.
