WNYC is a media partner of the Van Alen Institute, presenting Elsewhere: Escape and the Urban Landscape.

This fall, the Van Alen Institute investigates the city as a destination and departure point - from tourist visits and daily commutes to migrations from economic pressures and to new opportunities. Through a series of tours, talks, and performances, participants will examine the flows of people through the city, and the many ways we experience coming and going.
