New York African Film Festival 2014
Wednesday, May 7, 2014 through Monday, May 26, 2014
WNYC is a media partner for the 21st New York African Film Festival. A multi-venue celebration of African Arts and culture, May 7 to May 26.
The NY African Film Festival has been presented annually since 1998. Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Brooklyn Academy of Music have become principal hosts of the festival. Although the festival is a non-competitive event and is not intended to be a film market, AFF invites filmmakers to NYC to introduce their work and hold post-screening discussions with audiences. AFF round-table forums also allow African filmmakers to connect with film industry professionals and media scholars in the U.S.
