During Archtober 2014, the city's fourth annual month-long festival of architecture and design, Pratt and Surface magazine present a conversation between New York Times critic Michael Kimmelman and architect Annabelle Selldrof. Moderated by Spencer Bailey, Executive Editor at Surface magazine. Open to all - RSVP required. 

 

 

 

The Art of Dining: How Master Chefs and Designers Collaborate

Chefs Daniel Boulud and Lydia Shire join hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany for a conversation moderated by ELLE DECOR Editor in Chief Michael Boodro about the relationship between design and dining. This discussion will consider questions such as: how has design, which has shaped so many aspects of culture, contributed to our food-obsessed world? How have aesthetic considerations promoted dining to an art? How do chefs and designers collaborate on their creations? And what are the trends and innovations that will shape the way we eat in the future?
