After producing concerts and educational programs for the World Music Institute and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Aaron came to WQXR in 2011 to help launch nationally-distributed concert series Carnegie Hall Live, and produce live events at The Jerome L. Greene Space, Avery Fisher Hall, the Caramoor Festival, NJPAC, the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park, and other venues around the city.

Aaron trained at Sear Sound recording studios under legendary electronic music pioneer Walter Sear, then as assistant engineer for tracking and mixing sessions at Stratosphere Sound with chief engineer Geoff Sanoff. During his studio-rat days, Aaron worked on albums such as Wilco's A Ghost is Born, Eveningland by Hem, and Feels Like Home by Norah Jones, with producers including Arif Mardin, Jim O'Rourke, Ethan Johns, Daniel Rey, Adam Schlesinger, and Gary Maurer. In between sessions, Aaron earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology from New York University, and became a quite mediocre guitarist.

At New York Public Radio, in addition to work on Carnegie Hall Live, various radio specials, the summer series Concerts from The Frick Collection, events in The Greene Space, and live broadcasts from around New York, Aaron has produced over 200 episodes of the Young Artists Showcase. Aaron also produced, and mixed, and sound designed The Naked American Songbook with Julian Fleisher for WNYC Studios. He currently produces the American Standards stream as well as WNYC's Saturday night and Sunday afternoon Songbook programs.
