The Tongan community in Juneau, Alaska, still can't reach people more than a week after the underwater volcanic eruption. Telephone links are slowly being reconnected, and the internet is still down.

When the governor called a special session in Wasilla (which is not the state capital), some lawmakers went to Juneau instead, making it difficult to conduct business in either location.
