An Exit Interview with NYC's First "Nightlife" Mayor

New York City's first so called "Nightlife Mayor" Ariel Palitz is stepping down in April. She's been in the role since 2018. 

The "mayor's office of nightlife" is designed to serve as the central point of contact for nightlife industry and city agencies. According to the mayor's office, nightlife supports 300,000 jobs in the city.

Palitz spoke with WNYC's Sean Carlson about her what she thinks her legacy would be, and what qualities she'd like to see in her successor.
