Ever wish New York had a big old historic Gothic cathedral where you could just wander in and feel like you weren’t in New York on a Monday? Well we do have a big old historic Gothic cathedral, not too far from Columbia University. And the Cathedral of St. John the Divine has a free program called The Great Organ: Midday Mondays, where for 30 minutes you can hear a cathedral organist playing the cathedral’s extraordinary organ. The Cathedral of St John the Divine presents its Great Organ: Midday Monday program at 1pm each week.
