Karsh Kale is producer, percussionist, and DJ. Born in England to Indian parents, he was raised here in the States. Not surprisingly, his own music reflects his mixed heritage, with propulsive rhythms often anchored by the sounds of the traditional tabla drums of India, and colorful tapestries of sound that blend electronics with instruments from South Asia. Indian-American DJ and producer Karsh Kale does both an experimental live set and a DJ set at Nublu tonight.
