Gig Alert: Shane Parish at the Stone
Tickets: $20, Show at 8:30PM. All-Ages

The guitarist Shane Parish has played lots of different types of music – some loud, some new, and some old and quiet. Often he’s heard with his avant-garde rock band Ahleuchatistas, but occasionally he does solo projects, and the most recent one is called Undertaker Please Drive Slow. On it, Shane Parish plays sonic meditations on some of America’s most popular folk songs, like "Oh Death," "John Hardy," and "Hangman."

Guitarist Shane Parish performs his spare, almost abstract variations on old American folk tunes tonight at the Stone (which is usually closed Mondays, but for this special event.)
