Singer and songwriter Hannah Cohen draws on indie pop, psychedelia, and folk to create songs that are sensual and earthy. Although born in San Francisco, she established herself here in New York with a trio of albums that featured some of the major players on the local indie music scene. Her new record, Earthstar Mountain, is essentially a love letter to the Catskills, where Cohen spent the better part of the past five years. Hannah Cohen plays a free show on Sunday afternoon, July 20, at Union Pool in Brooklyn.
