Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Jazzmeia Horn has a name that speaks for itself - ("jazz" is in her name!). The Dallas native discovered jazz in high school, but since then, she's performed at clubs and festivals, won the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition, and is currently a teaching artist at NJPAC.

Her second record, Love and Liberation is just out, and on it, Horn offers eight original songs, plus arrangements of songs by Erykah Badu and Rachelle Ferrell. Jazzmeia Horn performs tonight at Le Poisson Rouge.
