Songs From The Bardo is a collaboration between the renowned multimedia artist Laurie Anderson, the Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal, and the pianist and composer Jesse Paris Smith, who’s the daughter of rock icon Patti Smith. Songs From the Bardo actually doesn’t include many songs – instead Anderson narrates a kind of spiritual journey through the Tibetan Book of the Dead; although in this excerpt, "Jigten," Tenzin Choegyal does something approaching the sounds of Tibetan folk music.
