In 2009, Iranian-born Newsweek reporter Maziar Bahari did an interview with Jason Jones of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." Iranian officials took the satirical piece seriously and arrested Bahari as a spy. In Rosewater (Random House, 2014), now out in paperback, Maziar Bahari writes about his 118 days in prison and the new movie "Rosewater" (directed by Jon Stewart), tells his story.
Here's the trailer for the movie, 'Rosewater':

When he was arrested, @MaziarBahari thought he'd be released quickly. "I will write a Newsweek article called "1 Week in an Iranian Prison."

.@maziarbahari was in solitary confinement for 107 days. "I knew that 1 day I would come out and speak about it, that is helping me a lot."

Gael Garcia Bernal is playing @maziarbahari in Jon Stewart's 'Rosewater.' He says Will Smith wasn't available, George Clooney can't dance.
