Pete M. Wyer: "For Love and Only for Love" at New York Botanical Garden

For the past several years, London composer Pete M. Wyer has been doing a series of immersive sound installations, meant to be experienced outdoors, in harmony with the sounds of nature. Now you may be wondering, wherever will he be able to do that in the middle of New York City? His piece, "For Love and Only for Love: Letters to New York," in 24 channels of surround sound, opens on Sat., Dec. 19 at the New York Botanical Garden. Wyer joins Schaefer to discuss the piece on New Sounds, Friday night, Dec. 18, at 11PM. Wyer's immersive sound installation is at the NYBG until Jan. 10, 2021.
