Bassist Ron Carter On His Life With Jazz

Jazz bassist Ron Carter joins us to discuss his latest album “An Evening With (Live at the Theaterstübchen, Kassel)."

Jazz bassist Ron Carter has had an eclectic and prolific career. Since he started playing professionally in the 1960s, he contributed to more than 2,000 albums and performed with household names like the Miles Davis’ Quintet, Bill Evans, B.B. King, and Dexter Gordon. Carter discusses his latest album “An Evening With (Live at the Theaterstübchen, Kassel)” and his upcoming performances this month at the Birdland Jazz Club. 

Ron Carter will perform at Birdland (315 West 44th St, 9th and 8th Aves.) through Oct. 21.
