
Bronx-born Salsa icon Willie Colón, singer, trombonist, composer, producer, actor and director, talks about his career in music and his work as a civil rights, community, political and health activist. Colón has recorded 40 albums and sold more than 30 million records worldwide, including 15 gold and five platinum records. He served as Chair of the Association of Hispanic Arts, a member of the Latino Commission on AIDS, and a member of several boards of directors, including the United Nations Immigrant Foundation. He’s performing at The Lehman Center for the Performing Arts on August 16 at 8pm.
