Steve Harvey Apologizes For Miss Universe Mix-Up

Steve Harvey says it was an honest mistake when he mixed up the winner of the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas Sunday night. Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines were the final contestants when Harvey made this announcement:

Miss Colombia was crowned, draped with a Miss Universe sash, handed a bouquet of flowers and then Harvey came back saying “I have to apologize.”

Harvey said Miss Universe was actually Miss Philippines, Miss Colombia was just the runner-up. He had made an error in reading the card. Miss Philippines came back on stage, there were cheers and some boos.

Donald Trump is crowing. He bought the Miss Universe franchise after NBC cut ties with him, then he sold it to a friend. Today he said on Twitter that if he was still running it, they would have crowned the right person.
