Videos Show New Jersey Mayor Allegedly Using City Employees For Personal Jobs

City workers have been showing up at the personal residence of Mayor Jose "Joey" Torres, and apparently doing work there.

In Paterson, New Jersey, city workers have been showing up at the personal residence of Mayor Jose "Joey" Torres, and apparently doing work there. NBC New York broke the story last week. Since then, the New Jersey Attorney General has launched an investigation.

A private investigator gave Jonathan Dienst, WNBC's chief investigative reporter, hours of recordings of the mayor taken over more than a year.

"The tapes show numerous instances of city workers, on different days, showing up at the mayor's house and apparently doing work," Diesnt said.

Dienst spoke with WNYC's All Things Considered host Jami Floyd.
