    New Music from Ireland is in the spotlight for this New Sounds program.  Ireland has seen a renaissance in the past 5-10 years or so in contemporary music, with works drawing on minimalism, post-minimalism, electronica, and world music.  To that end, we'll hear composer and heavy metal guitarist David Flynn's post-minimalist string quartet “The Cranning.”
