The Day After: Election Night Reactions, The Beauty of Taking A Walk, What's At Stake, How the Media Did

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Nov 4, 2020

We ended Election Day and woke up this morning without results in the Presidential or Senatorial Elections. MSNBC correspondent David Gura joins us to discuss the race as it stands now, and take reactions from our listeners.

With trips cancelled and regular routines disrupted due to COVID-19, and after a stressful Election Day, it seems like a good time to reflect on the simple pleasure of just taking a walk. Author Shane O’Mara joins us to discuss the physical and emotional virtues of a good stroll and his new book, In Praise of Walking: The New Science of How We Walk and Why It’s Good For Us.

As results from the Presidential Election continue to come in, Kai Wright, host and managing editor of The United States of Anxiety, discusses what's at stake across the country.

Many wondered how the media would handle the potential for uncertain results on Election Night. NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins us for some analysis of Election Night media coverage, look back at the election year media coverage, and take calls.
