I took it in the flatiron area. I like it because I capture not only an artist at work but an active old folk too.

I took this picture in Albuquerque, NM. Albuquerque has some of the best sunsets to offer and I thought this picture was nicely framed with the moon.

Twilight in Franz Sigel Park, overlooking Walton Ave in the south Bronx. An oasis.

I took this photo at Montauk Point, New York during a sailing trip. We traveled from Annapolis, MD to Essex, CT, and back again. I like this photo because it's smooth and calm, unlike the majority of our voyage that was plagued by constant rain and mishaps.

Reflecting upon a beloved writer, neighbor and friend ...
Location: Our apartment
Union Square, NYC.
Oh, how we all miss you David. Love J&H

Photo captured in a dollar store in upstate NY. I was struck by this dense toy display. I'm 65, but it still stirred my inner kid's sense of play possibilities.

The butcher at the famous Broadway Market in Buffalo, NY on its busiest day of the year. The market is like a carnival in the week leading up to Easter, and on this day there was even an emcee calling numbers and providing color commentary on the various "beautiful" cuts of meat.

I had to take this photo. What's not to like about a sexy woman hanging from the ceiling offering you a glass of champagne as you walk through the door?

While travelling in Scotland with two daughters was enchanted by the expansive landscape. Expanded it a bit more with a panorama.
Nicole Tarpey
I took this photo on a hiking trip to Glacier National Park in September. The DSLR I brought never seemed worth the weight so most of my photos were taken on my iPhone. I like how the water was so still I was able to get a crisp reflection of the mountain, and the colors.

On a first visit to Scotland, and learning to drive on the left hand side, found castles at every turn. Stopped, snapped and wandered on.

This is a photo taken of the pro-Morsi protest (10/28) from a cab on the West Side Highway, around midtown. I happened to be taking a cab on a Sunday morning and happened upon a multicultural NYC moment. It was unexpected and this woman was obviously capturing her own moment on her iPad. This all felt very meta so I snapped it.

This is a photo of what appears to be a group of Italian friars/priests relaxing at the street island on Broadway and 106th. I thought this was such a great New York moment. Their complete nonchalance and general Italian vibe of just enjoying the moment is what I most remember - so I snapped this.
Charlotte Marchant
I was on my way to work in Downtown Brooklyn and saw this couch after the first snowfall of the season. Ironically, The New York State Department of Labor offices are in the background.
Matthew Yanchuk
The pumpkin heads on iron fence in Cobble Hill on Kane St. the last time that they will be displayed on Halloween and weeks after. This photo taken about a month after Halloween.

The Pakistan-India border from the Pakistan side in Lahore. The ceremony of raising and taking down the flag takes place twice a day. It is accompanied by music and ceremonial steps and a chance for each side to show their country pride.
Greta Nettleton
Taken earlier this month during the fog/snow storm. The location is the top of the cliffs near the Women's Memorial, in the Palisades Interstate Park in Alpine, NJ. The Hudson River is hidden in the fog below--it felt like I was standing on the edge of the world when I took the picture.
