I took it standing on the 61st/Woodside subway stop in Woodside Queens. I took it because I think it's such a beautiful and unique view of the city looking down the subway tracks. I also think the appeal of Queens is overlooked often, so I like to highlight it when I can.

This photo was taken in Mantaloking, New Jersey, just about one year after Superstorm Sandy. Before Sandy there was a house here but now the only evidence that remains of what once were pleasant summer days is this swimming pool. I thought that it, the surviving artifact of a family's summer home, evoked a sharp sense of nostalgia.

My dentist is on the 69th floor of the Chrysler building (I work on the 6th) and this picture was taken from the waiting room. Every time I go for a cleaning I try to take a picture of the view because it's from a place that not everyone has access to.

I took this coming out of the Macy's on 34th Street. My mother happened to be visiting at the time too, so it was a special moment indeed. The red, white, and blue next to the full moon was awesome.

I took this photo at work on December 14th. I couldn't believe how perfect the snowflakes were when the snow started falling. And my black knit scarf provided the perfect backdrop for viewing their intricate shapes.

Riding my bike through Williamsburg one afternoon, caught this reflection of a construction site in the window of a factory building. The new Billburg overlapping the old.

We live on the Jersey Shore. this picture is of the Manasquan Inlet on a cold spring day. The sunset was strange, the yellow glow through the clouds gave it a strange perspective. A commercial fishing boat is coming back to port.

Window display at Bloomies...LV...I just love "smart window displays" and I think this one is brilliant...I also like how the reflections worked out!

On a Thanksgiving day walk with my husband and baby in Connecticut, the light was perfect so I snapped this shot. The peek into nature was a nice quite moment in an otherwise hectic holiday.
