I was in my favorite park in Red Hook Brooklyn in July. (not saying the name of the park. ha) There are two times during the late spring early summer months when the sun sets directly behind the Statue of Liberty. When the sky is clear the sun creates a light show behind the statue that looks more picturesque than a Hollywood set. There was a cloud just on the horizon behind the statue and it created a dramatic V in the sky. I only had my iphone with me - and wished I had brought along my "real" camera. The iphone photo came out beautifully anyway. I've taken photos of the statue for more than three years now from the same park. Every sunset is unique.
