I took this photo at Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park, Brooklyn. I was on a bike ride, and I noticed that a perfect rainbow-ring had appeared around the sun. When I tried to photograph the ring, the sun blew out the exposure, obscuring the rainbow-ring, so I used one of the large columns topped with stone birds at Grand Army Plaza to block the sun from the shot. I liked that a man-made structure made capturing this atmospheric phenomenon possible.
