This is 23rd St on what was the first warm spring day of 2013. This boy was doing headstands and handstands in his underwear for an hour. He didn't have a tip jar out for collection. He was just being what you see in this photograph. Many who passed ignored him completely. When I look at this photo I remember how glorious NYC feels on a day like that, not just the weather and the light, but the feeling of the people on the streets and the energy of it all.
