Joseph Smith

This is the Christo de la Misericordia in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Being laid off in February allowed me to travel. But lingering stress, noon-time sun, and an almost vertical assent had me on the verge of heat exhaustion. Lying down to gather my strength, the statue appeared like a vision, with the sun glowing powerfully behind his outstretched hand. It was magical.
