This is an art installation at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. It's by the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto. As you approach this exhibit, you're not exactly sure what these hanging sacks are all about, and you may be a little hesitant (especially if you have your 6 and 8 year old kids with you). But, each sack is filled with different aromatic spices and as you get closer, your olfactory senses are engaged. It reminds me that, very often, my first impression of something (or someone) can be entirely wrong.

  • Oh, and: as tempting as it may be -- no pets or kids (unless they have some news value!) No selfies allowed unless they feature you and the Danish Prime Minister in South Africa.
