Shopping at a farmer's market in September, these carrots were the only ones left at this particular stand—no one wanted funny-looking carrots. As I handed over the money, the nice person at the stall told me that they were her favorites. I think she might have been pleased to take them home herself, if I hadn't been instantly attracted to them. I immediately took this picture in the kitchen, but I couldn't bring myself to cook them for about 3 weeks. (They were delicious.)
