On their way north up the Pacific Coast Highway, these two young bikers take a break to absorb the great, albeit foggy, scenery. But being 2013 'absorbing the scenery' means taking selfies and posting the moment on social media.

I like this photo for its classic composition, and how immediately the viewer can recognize the smartphone body language of the subjects, despite their distance from the camera.

    I should add that these guys are my friends, and that we were cycling up the coast from LA to San Francisco.
