Well, the photo was taken a day ago in Yoshino, Japan---Mt. Yoshino, to be exact! It is one of the many temples scattered around Mt.Yoshino. This specific temple is where university students come to pray for good grades.

This shot was taken on my iPhone as I got onto the #2 train at the Flatbush terminus. The man was asleep on the bench, but seemed to have the spirit of Christmas in his heart nonetheless, regardless of his circumstance. You really have to want to wear a Santa hat.

Looking over all the cell phone photos I've taken and shared this year, this one from the roof/penthouse of my office building may be my favorite. There are great views of the NY Life Building (seen above) and the Empire State Building, and I took several lunches up there on cool summer days - most acquired from UrbanSpace NYC's outdoor markets.

I took this photo in the Village, I was on my way to see the movie Finding Vivian Maier. I didn't realize till after I got home the repetition of my reflection, which is also a theme in many of Maier's photographs.
