Fanta Kaba is from the South Bronx and is a junior at Beacon High School, where she is co-president of the Women of Color Club and Live Poets Society. She loves playing basketball and writing for her school’s newspaper. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading books and writing poetry. She is passionate about amplifying voices through journalism. After high school, she plans to major in journalism or English.
