Vivianna Guzman is Chief Financial Officer for New York Public Radio, where she oversees strategic planning and day-to-day operations for the finance department.

Previously, Guzman was the Chief Financial Officer and, concurrently, the Head of Global Businesses for the American Management Association (AMA), a global leader in the Human Capital Development industry. As Chief Financial Officer for the organization she provided financial, operational and strategic stewardship globally, and as the Head of Global Businesses, she had full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility for all operations of AMA outside the United States including North America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

Prior to joining AMA, Guzman spent nearly 10 years, in the US subsidiary of a $5 billion dynamic and highly diversified Canadian conglomerate (First City Financial Corp Ltd.), with holdings in financial institutions, arbitrage, private equity, real estate, telecom, manufacturing and chemicals. Her career progressed to Chief Financial Officer, where she managed the financial function, Human Resources and Information Technology, and mergers and acquisitions activities.

As a CPA with KPMG for over six years, she served multinational audit clients in the United States and Latin America.

Guzman holds a Graduate Degree (Masters) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Universidad de Costa Rica. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Financial Executives Institute (FEI), International Women’s Forum (IWF) and the Financial Women’s Association of New York (FWA).

Guzman is frequently quoted in the media on topics of diversity and inclusion, leadership trends and advancing women in leadership. She has extensive experience serving on the Boards of private and non-profit companies in North America, Europe and Asia.
