About the Series

Established in the year 2000, the New York Public Radio Archives are the station's physical link to its rich and storied past.

Directed by archivist Andy Lanset, the department provides a central repository for more than 70,000 audio recordings on nearly every format (except cylinder and wire), photographs, memorabilia, reports, news items, program guides, institutional records, and promotional materials.
