Post-Storm Service Updates

Here is the latest transit information, as of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Airports

Most flights at Newark Liberty Airport are taking off and landing as scheduled. Continental Airlines says its hub there is nearly normal but some cancelations and delays remain. Authorities are reporting general delays at LaGuardia and Kennedy airports. Jet Blue has resumed flights at JFK but is still operating on a reduced schedule. Customers are urged to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

Long Island Rail Road

The Long Island Railroad says it will be operating on near normal levels for this morning's rush hour. Delays of 10-15 minutes are reported across the system.

There is also bus service being provided in place of train service east of Ronkonkoma on the Main Line and east of Speonk on the Montauk Branch.

Subway

The MTA says service has been restored on most lines, but there are still residual delays.

On the 4 train, only Bronx-bound service is running. The Q train is not running. There are also suspensions on parts of the B, L, and N trains.

New Jersey Transit

New Jersey Transit says it will resume its normal weekday rail schedule today, with only minor adjustments. NJ Transit had been running on an enhanced holiday schedule since the storm.

MetroNorth

MetroNorth says it is running full weekday service this morning.

Amtrak

Amtrak says service should be back to normal today between Washington D.C. and Boston.

PATH train

PATH trains are operating on all four lines, on a ten-minute schedule.

Buses

The MTA says most buses in Manhattan and the Bronx are running, with some delays. The major problems are in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The MTA is urging travelers to check their Web site for more information.
