Donnacha Dennehy is Ireland’s leading contemporary composer. He joins us, along with the award-winning American soprano Dawn Upshaw, to tell us about their collaboration based on the poetry of William Butler Yeats and inspired by an old form of Irish singing. The piece appears on Dennehy's new album, "Grá agus Bás."
Dawn Upshaw will perform as part of the "Spring for Music" series with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra at Carnegie Hall on Friday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. More information here.
