With just two weeks before the end of the legislative session, New York's gay marriage bill is still in limbo in the state senate. The bill's sponsor, Sen. Tom Duane (D-Manhattan), insists it has enough votes to pass, as it did in the Assembly.

But gay marriage opponent Sen. Ruben Diaz, Sr. (D-Bronx) says if that's true, lawmakers would voice their support publicly.

DIAZ: If he really has the names, why are they so ashamed of releasing their names? Are they ashamed of being associated with the gay community?

REPORTER: A spokesman for Sen. Duane declined to comment. And a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Malcolm Smith says the bill will only make it to the floor when he's confident it has the 32 votes needed to pass.
