WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

There are protests all over the nation today as people face the Tax Day deadline. The so-called Tea Parties are rallies against wasteful government spending.

There are nearly two thousand rallies planned around the country, including on in City Hall park tonight at 7pm.

The Boston Tea Party was way back in 1773 when Colonial Americans upset with the British Government's taxes tossed boxes of tea into Boston Harbor.
