New York, NY —
Tests on a Brooklyn apartment where a man worked on unprocessed hides linked to Anthrax have tested negative for the bacteria.
Officials say as a result three people who had been started on antibiotics as a precaution have been told they can stop taking them. Four other people continue to take preventative antibiotics though none of them have any symptoms of anthrax infection.
The man had obtained the hides from 44-year-old Vado Diomande. He remains hospitalized in serious condition in Pennsylvania.
