Ask Governor Murphy: If NJ lowers corporate taxes, will the state find needed revenue elsewhere?

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy delivers his budget address to a joint session of the Legislature at the statehouse, in Trenton, N.J

Governor Phil Murphy said during his budget address late last month that he plans to lower corporate business taxes in New Jersey to create a more business friendly climate.

"More money for them to create jobs, to invest in new and more efficient equipment, to lower costs to consumers and to be able to stay here," he said.

But if that billion dollars in state revenue doesn’t come from large corporations, who will foot the bill? We’ll ask Murphy about that, the election transparency bill that’s not very transparent, and take your calls live at (844) 745-TALK. Tune in Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on WNYC.
