Bomba Estéreo – "Sonic Forest" (Déjame respirar / Let Me Breathe)

The Colombian electronic dance band Bomba Estéreo has done the theme song for a new documentary film, called “Sonic Forest.” The film actually grows out of the work of the band’s founder, Simon Mejia, who traveled throughout the country recording the sounds of nature and of the indigenous cultures of Colombia. The song “Sonic Forest” features guest vocals by Nidia Gongora, who is a folk singer from Colombia’s Pacific coast, and lots of traditional percussion. Bomba Estéreo's beautiful video for the song, "Sonic Forest," also serves as a pretty effective trailer for the documentary of the same name.
