A Cole Porter Jubilee

Cole Porter

“Words and music must be so inseparably wedded to each other that they are like one." – Cole Porter

Cole Porter practiced what he preached. Writing both music and lyrics, Porter created an endless stream of American standard songs: "Night And Day," "I Get A Kick Out Of You," "In The Still Of The Night," "Begin The Beguine," "Just One Of Those Things," "It's All Right With Me," "So In Love," "True Love," "I Love Paris." He wrote for over 30 years, for both Broadway and Hollywood, the songs kept coming - witty, urbane, sarcastic, sexy, delicious, delightful, and de-lovely.

The Jonathan Channel Celebrates the 125th Birthday of Cole Porter with two hours of his timeless music  Thursday, June 9th from 5 PM to 7 PM ET
