Dr. Ralph Abernathy and his wife, Mrs. Juanita Abernathy discuss the beginnings of the Civil Rights movement following Rosa Parks's arrest, including the organization of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and Martin Luther King Jr.'s ascendancy to lead the Civil Rights Movement. Some time is spent discussing the re-percussive violence following the boycott, including church bombings as well as bombings of Dr. Abernathy's and Dr. King's homes. They both consider the result of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and its effects on the community in Montgomery and elsewhere.
