Entrepreneur Jason Mayden Gets Superheroic

Jason Mayden

Not all heroes wear capes, but some are super heroic. Entrepreneur and devout sneakerhead Jason Mayden thinks that the most super heroic among us are kids and their families, the target of his new multi-platform enterprise that creates play-performance footwear, apparel and technology.

Before founding Super Heroic, Inc., Mayden spent over a decade as a lead designer at Nike, where he created and contributed to sports gear for athletes and cultural icons such as Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony and Derek Jeter, among others.

Hayden is also a judge for the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum's second National High School Design Competition, which asked high school students from anywhere in the United States to submit design ideas for a campaign, product or system that would improve a community's access to fresh, healthy foods. Finalists will fly to New York City to present their designs to the judges on June 4, 2017.
