Katherine Nouri Hughes joins us to discuss her debut novel, The Mapmaker's Daughter. It tells the story of a 16th century woman named Nurbanu. While on her deathbed, she recounts her journey from her humble origins as the daughter of an illicit union to the most powerful woman in the Ottoman Empire.
