Yascha Mounk, Lecturer on Government at Harvard University and a Senior Fellow in the Political Reform Program at New America, talks about his new book The People vs. Democracy: Why Our Freedom Is in Danger and How to Save It. Mounk examines how the trend towards authoritarianism from India to Turkey and Poland to the United States threaten democracy. Mounk describes both how we got here and where we need to go, and argues that this may be our last chance to save democracy.

Yascha Mounk will give a lecture on March 22 at 6 pm at The Brennan Center at New York University Law School (40 Washington Square South).
