For the past few weeks, we have been exploring a banner year in American Songbook history, 1957. That year produced a number of records that we just can't stop listening to. This week is no exception, as we feature the 1957 classic album Louis Armstrong Meets Oscar Peterson.
The album showcases the finest performers of the songbook (in our opinion). It's 16 tracks of: Louis Armstrong on vocals and trumpet; Oscar Peterson on piano; Herb Ellis on guitar; Ray Brown on bass and Louis Bellson on drums. This week, stay tuned to The Jonathan Channel as we'll be featuring a different track, every hour on the hour.
