Men's Fashion Gets a Week of Its Own

Men's Fashion is getting a show of its own in New York City for the first time ever with New York Fashion Week's men's standalone showcase this week.

For Duckie Brown designer Steven Cox, fabric "doesn't have a penis or a vagina," so the concept for the show, to him and his husband Daniel Silver, is a little "old fashioned," as Silver puts it. Nonetheless, they are excited to have a historic show like this.

The couple first met on Fire Island. Their first home together, an upstairs loft in the West Village, is now their design studio. WNYC host Richard Hake visited them amid their pre-show preparations.
