Michael Brown, Sr. On How The World Has, And Has Not, Changed After The Death of His Son

On August 9, 2014, Michael Brown was killed by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, MO. His parents were forced to watch Michael’s body lying on the streets for four hours and thirty two minutes before it was collected by the police. Since then, the death of Michael Brown has thrust Ferguson, and Brown’s grieving parents, into the spotlight. Michael Brown, Sr. will be on the show on Monday to discuss his son, the events that continue to unfold in Ferguson and around the country, and the tension that comes from being a black parent in America. Brown will be joined by Esquire writer-at large John Richardson, whose article about Michael Brown, Sr., “I Should Have Been There to Protect Him,” appears in the Jan/Feb 2015 issue of Esquire.
